Scam Prevention Guide
Most people on EVMarket.lk are genuine, but scammers exist on every marketplace. Follow these rules to stay safe.
Never pay in advance
Do not pay any deposit or advance before verifying the seller and physically inspecting the item. EVMarket.lk never holds payments on your behalf.
Watch for red flags
Be wary of prices far below market, sellers who refuse to meet or inspect, pressure to pay quickly, or requests to move off-platform immediately.
Protect your details
Never share OTPs, bank logins or card details. EVMarket.lk staff will never ask for your password or OTP.
Verify identity
Prefer verified sellers, meet in public places, and confirm the person matches the registration/ownership documents.
Report problems
Use the Report button on any listing or open a support ticket to report a scam, a fake listing or a problem with a vendor. Our team investigates every report.
